About the Guildford vet

We are an independently owned, family run, small animal veterinary clinic based in Guildford. We provide the highest standard of veterinary care in a professional and friendly environment.

Here at The Guildford Vet, we understand and value the relationship you have with your pets. Lead veterinary surgeon Trystan, and the experienced team are committed to delivering high quality healthcare with a personal touch, that exceeds your expectations. We ensure that your pets stay healthy, and therefore most importantly, happy.

About us

We are one of the very few first opinion practices in Surrey to offer our own in-house, out of hours service. We offer appointments later into the evenings, on Saturdays and Sundays, at the standard consultation price. We will always see urgent patients on the same day, and are available for advice in person or over the telephone 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

We provide an exceptional standard of veterinary care to our patients and clients, in a professional yet personal manner – by delivering accurate diagnostics, compassionate treatment of animals, and client communication, whilst maintaining a pleasant and safe working environment. We treat each and every pet that we care for as we would treat our own.

Our Story

The Guildford Vet practice was established in Summer 2022. Prior to this, the site became a vets in the late 1970s. We have since undertaken a total refurbishment of the surgery, and have introduced new equipment, surgical techniques and improved parking. We are all excited by this new venture and aim to provide you and your pets with the best experience possible.

Our team pledge to cultivate a traditional, friendly ethos whilst still driving the business forward technologically and aesthetically. We will also be providing in house 24/7 care to deliver you the very best service.

"This place is special. An honest caring vet, reasonably priced unlike some of the large chain vets out there that only seem to treat you as a number or a paycheque. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Can't praise this place enough"

"Our Burmese cats had serious health issues a month apart from one another, and on both occasions I took them to the Guildford Vet. I'm happy to report my experience was excellent. 5 stars. The staff were friendly, helpful, knowledgeable. The vet went to great pains explaining the diagnosis on both occasions, and today our Burmese brothers are happy and well. I highly recommend this practice"

From the moment I called to ask if we could seek a second opinion from them Kim on reception was amazingly kind and ensured we got registered with them straight away and got an immediate appointment for us with David. At such an emotional and sad time David, Kim and all the team at The Guildford Vet were so very kind and understanding and treated our Munchkin so tenderly.."

Also shout outs to Peter and the other vets there, all fantastic, treat her well and we know she is in the best of hands no matter what the circumstance.
