When requesting more medication or food please give us at least 24 hours notice. The main reason for this is to allow us time to check whether the item is in stock, if it isn’t we can order it to arrive the next day and dispense it.
In order for any prescription medicines to be dispensed by the practice, your pet must be deemed under our care. This means in general that the vet needs to have seen your pet in the past 3-12 months – how regular a particular animal is seen to allow repeat dispensing of drugs is dependent on the drug and the pet’s condition. This applies to all prescription medicines, including flea and worm treatments.
If you have any queries or concerns about your pet’s health, don’t hesitate to give us a call on 01483 610292.

Vaccinations
Vaccinations
Vaccines have long been an important part of preventative medicine, both in humans and in pets. By giving a pet a controlled amount of vaccine, the pet’s immune system can prepare itself and be ready for the day if and when the real disease arrives to infect them.
Laparoscopy
Laparoscopy
Here at The Guildford Vet we pride ourselves on delivering the highest standards of treatment and care to every pet we see. Veterinary medicine is advancing all the time, and while we stay abreast of all the latest innovations, we also know that sometimes the old ways are the best! So you can be assured that we only ever introduce new techniques when we know that they deliver significantly better care for your pet. Laparoscopic (better known as ‘keyhole’) surgery is one such example.
